Bird Feeder Cleaning Event - Saturday, April 11th 10AM - 3PM
We are cleaning up...bird feeders that is! Girl Scout Troop #75738 will be on site to help us get those feeders squeaky clean. Come get your feeders cleaned and learn how beneficial and easy it is to do at home. Suggested $3 donation per feeder will go to Girl Scout Troop #75738. Call store for more details (815-744-3800)
In-Store Presentation “Nesting Neighbors" Saturday, April 18th 11AM
Enticing birds to nest in your yard through proper habitat and safe nesting boxes is great for your birds and a rewarding activity for your family! Learn all about how to prepare for nesting birds by improving your yard’s nesting appeal, how to keep predators away, characteristics of a good nest box, and other ways to help nesting families this spring from a bird feeding expert at WBU Joliet. Advanced Pole System Tent Event Saturday, April 25th 10AM-2PM
Spring is the perfect time to refresh your bird feeding setup! Join us for our Advanced Pole System Tent Event and get hands-on with the NEW WBU Advanced Pole System. See how easy it is to install, explore the interchangeable components, and discover the fun new features that make customizing your feeding station simple. We’ll also have special event discounts on both new and existing pole systems and parts to help you build the perfect setup for your backyard birds.
CYO Pollinator Container Garden Friday, May 1st 6PM $45 per person
Create your own native plant pollinator container garden with an expert from Possibility Place Nursery! During the workshop, there will be a short presentation and demonstration on how and why to plant native plants. Fee includes container, dirt, and 3-4 locally sourced native plants of your choosing. Perfect activity to do with or for Mom! Space is limited. Must pay fee in advance to reserve your spot: 815-744-3800

2026 Be a Trailblazer Challenge
Join the "Be a Trailblazer" digital scavenger hunt that will have you adventuring to and through the Will County preservbes at your own pace and on your own schedule throughout 2025. Get started by downloading the Goosechase app to your smartphone and joining the "Be a Trailblazer" experience. Once your in, visit the preserves to complete the dozens of challenges that will have you snapping pics in nature and checking in at various spots in the preserves.
