Smithsonian Bird Friendly Certified Coffee Program with Coffee Tasting

In this presentation, presented by Greg Dubois, he will discuss a breif history of coffee consumption and production and you will learn some shocking facts about the decline of migratory birds in North America. He will cover in more detail The Smithsonian Bird Friendly Coffee program and what you and I can do to protect migratory birds. Hint: It is One Cup at a Time. WBU Joliet March Bird Outing

Join us for a Monday morning bird outing in a local preserve. Meet in the parking circle at 9:30AM. We will be on the lookout for resident birds, over-wintering visitors, and any new first arriving spring migrat birds. Ideal of bird enthusiasts of all ages, experiences, and ability levels. Hoo Haven Live Owl Program

Join us in-store for an extraordinary program from Hoo HavenWildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center. Hoo Haven will be at WBU Joliet at 11AM with 2 birds, one hopfully being a Snowy Owl. They will also be bringing a few reptiles and mammals too! Hoo Haven is a volunteer baesd organizationdedicated to rehabilitating and releasing, sick, injured, or orphaned, North American wildlife and to educate individuals to the importance of the conservation of Mother Earth, to maintain the land, clean, and beautiful for all.

Presented by Kelsay Shaw, co-owner of the Possibility Place Nursery. Creating a Pollinator Paradise: Planting some milkweeds and putting up a humminbird feeder are ways that are popularized to gardeners to attract pollinators, but there is so much more! Pollinators are the bits of color that make gardens move and hum. You'll learn about the world pollionators live in and how you can transform your garden spaces into a haven for them. Kelsay will show you how pollinators service your flowers, how they help feed our song bird populations, and how you can make a difference in your garden.

2025 Be a Trailblazer Challenge
Join the "Be a Trailblazer" digital scavenger hunt that will have you adventuring to and through the Will County preservbes at your own pace and on your own schedule throughout 2025. Get started by downloading the Goosechase app to your smartphone and joining the "Be a Trailblazer" experience. Once your in, visit the preserves to complete the dozens of challenges that will have you snapping pics in nature and checking in at various spots in the preserves.
